The zoo is getting prime real estate at Parkway and Poplar that earmarked for a photography museum. The folks pushing that idea have conceded and have started looking elsewhere. So, yeah the zoo is inconveniencing a great bunch of folks by not compromising.
The group also said that their plight is no better off than it was in 1968. It's been 48 years since 1968, and Memphis has had a black mayor for the past 24 of those. Stop with this type BS because your demands are not unreasonable. Some will miss that when they hear you make outrageous statements.
The definition of "peaceful" has never changed. Non-violent does not mean peaceful. Kudos for non-violent protests as this era of history progresses. Let's work on the peaceful and don't endanger people's lives who don't choose to block bridges and roads.

The ambulance taking the child to St. Jude had to leave the I-40 bridge and take the I-55 bridge, so there was an impact. Thank goodness it wasn't fatal.
