I got no problem with your all-whatever workforce, Merc. Lots of private companies, especially small ones, already do this, though probably not overtly. I do have a problem if your race- or gender-biased company is getting government contracts.
>>"Employees should be hired and terminated based on performance, period. " Uh, this is EXACTLY the point of the legislation Bunkie and the Fundies are opposing. It's to extend protection to gays against being fired for nonperformance-related issues i.e their sexual orientation. You are in over your head. And so is Bunker.
Agreed, Zip. I made the mistake of taking my college-age daughter to Wendell's World Grill for dinner a few years ago. Slow service, overpriced food, but we hung in there and finished with dessert and coffee. Spent about $100. When we got up to leave, Wendell was sitting outside reading a newspaper. We said goodnight, smiled, etc. He didn't even look up at his only two customers. A thorough jackass.
Oh, please keep your religion to yourself. This isn't about your idea of "sin," it's about accepting people as they are or, if you prefer, as god made them. "Judge not lest ye be judged," or whatever Bible gibberish seems useful to you.
My son and I disagreed as to whether the sign was advertising fried cheese tots or French toast -- either way, an obvious sign of Global Dumbing.
Not sure if this is an improvement, but the sign at the BK on Union near Cooper now reads: "$1 FR CH TOATS $1"
You stated the staffs of the CA and Flyer were salivating at the chance to do "if it bleeds, it leads" stories. I said, show me some examples. You can't. Better luck with your next bit of overblown hyperbole.
