Re: “Phone Book Guilt

Okay - a couple of things. First re: M/ Awesomeberg's post, note there was a 60's Memphis Band called the Rapscallions that included Coon Elder. They're profiled on page 122 of Ron Hall's Frat Band Book and I think they even have a cut on the companion CD. Second, after being in business for 11 years now, I must sadly admit that Yellow Pages advertising works. I say "sadly" because I sold newspaper advertising for a good many years and claimed that it didn't - and (adding to my sadness) the cost of my tiny little ad goes up EVERY friggin' issue - now way over $300 a month. So, judging from the number of calls I receive that I can relate directly to the ad, an internet presence alone won't cut it.
As for M. Awesomeberg's verbosity, I'm guessing he's an attorney. Don't they get paid by the word? (Please forgive me if I'm wrong - no offense intended.)

Re: “Memphis Beat: "Polk Salad Annie"

I think it's about to become a favorite Memphis pastime to talk about how bad this show is.

Re: “Anti-War Protesters Arrested in Corker's Office

To all who participated in this event - you have my gratitude, my admiration and my encouragement. Keep the pressure on Corker. He doesn't want a town hall meeting because of his shameful record of support for this war and this administration.
