Is this a war on terrorism or a war against photography? After 9/11 the authorities told everyone to return to the lives they led before the tragic event. I am both a railroad enthusiast and photographer and I have not been able to do that because of people like Richard Pillsbury. This campaign against photography is a misguided effort to lull people into a false sense of security that authorities are actually doing something to protect them. In fact harassing photographers does NOTHING to protect against potential terrorists. Jesse James did not need a camera to case the banks he was going to rob.
I am urging all photographers and tourists to BOYCOTT the State of Tennessee as a result of this outrage! We will visit places that welcome us not places that intend to harass us and steal our camera equipment!
