On April 9 in Hot Springs, there will be a sports event where the athletes pitted against each other are at the top of their game, reigning champ and 2-time runner-up, in a race against the clock and for a $5million purse. Will anyone at the Flyer be there?
I think it's awesome that the RB Championships are held in Memphis, seeing as how much Elvis loved the game:-)
"Secretariat: The Making of a Champion" by Bill Nack. Barbaro who?
Now, if only there was a way to repeal the ridiculously high and regressive 9.25% sales tax that sends cash-strapped shoppers away from Shelby County stores to find better deals at MS shopping centers...
This sounds like the lonely ramblings one hears at the racetrack: if only people cared about the horses again, the world would be a better place. If only we had a Triple Crown winner, people would care again. Baseball is dead- money and drugs have killed it. The legends are all that remain. Enjoy your legends and keep dreaming of that mythic second coming, because it'll break your heart to accept the sad reality. Take it from me, a lifelong fan of another dead sport.
Finally, it's about time somebody did something with that forsaken piece of off-ramp. So many tourists think they've made a wrong turn when they get off the interstate at Brooks headed for Graceland. The beautification project can't start soon enough, and there had better be people watching over it to make sure it stays "beautified".
Re: “Opening Date Set for Chipotle”
This place is a national chain version of Swanky's Taco. Save your Chipotle $ and go to Swanky's instead, support local restaurants!
