If it was up to Tommy Volinchak, the entire city would become a strip mall. If the people Chicago had his attitude, we'd have no Frank Lloyd Wright architecture to learn from. Rome would have no Coliseum. Paris, no Eiffel Tower. Greece, no Parthenon. And the list goes on. Preserving heritage benefits more than "40 or 50" people. It teaches our children the value of the past and preserves our culture for generations to come. If anything is a blight on our community, it's Tommy Volinchak.

Our legislators, both in Nashville and Washington, seem blind to the fact that education is no longer just a social necessity, but more than ever, it's an economic issue. How will our country be able to compete effectively in the world marketplace if students aren't provided with the best education we can give them? Education solves so many problems, and it's the teachers who bestow the knowledge and wisdom which prepare our young men and women to succeed. Our elected representatives must ensure the rights of every teacher.
YOU'RE AN IDIOT!!!
Whle I respect your desire to have a radio station whichs is geared tward your particlar community, WUMR is the only jazz station in Memphis and there are many devoted listeners.
It would be a disgrace for Memphis not to have a jazz station. This station ofers cultural divessity which every major metropolitan area needs.

And I wonder if you've ever listened to WEVL which seems to meet your concerns.
