I can’t wait until November when we can vote out the old like John McCain, more oil drilling, rumor mongering, trashing each other and begin to have honest arguments, ethics and an intelligent president who can speak English and possibly be able to define “sovereign”. Wouldn’t it be refreshing if we could become Americans having constructive disagreements that could possibly lead us to shared goals? I am so weary of the snarling on TV talk shows. It sure would feel better to wipe the slim off of our politics and get some decorum and dignity back in our communal conversation. Now that Tim Russert is gone the rest of us have to take up the standard he set. Maybe this is a beginning, this is one of the first times I’ve agreed with Peggy Noonan.
