revolutions are better than boycotts.
peta is the nastiest organization i have ever worked with.
But why should anybody want to buy them? Doesn't the fact that these shirts are only being sold in select markets indicate that Old Navy cares more about making a profit than a political statement? If Old Navy really supported equality, they wouldn't need to be pressured from outside to sell the shirts in markets where they would be potentially controversial. Old Navy is just trying to cash in on folks' identities without actually giving a crap about anything other than money, which is nasty, nasty, nasty, and not to be supported.
While a lack of libido may be a problem for your relationship, it doesn't indicate a problem with your girlfriend. Some people just don't want sex. They don't "need help," it's just how they are. That's not to say that's she's evil or anything -- more likely just immature. Even if you go to Florida now, you'll still have to deal with this problem when it comes time to pick schools, and healthy relationships don't consist of continuous battles over trying to get what you want. If you're prepared to give up the things you want for her, and she's prepared to make you, then something's wrong with the picture.
There's a reason most people don't end up with their high school sweethearts. Neither of you are the person now that you will be in five years. You'll go to college, develop new interests, meet new folks, get involved in separate things, and suddenly you'll both realize that you're just not that into each other anymore. Your mother, on the other hand, will always be your mother. Don't let her down.
If you're incompatible on an issue that is so important to both of you, then it's time to split up. The longer you stay together the harder it will be.
