You can start by not calling her derogatory names such as "Tranny". There is no one who cannot be disrepected for some personal characteristic or another. Transgendered people are sick if the insults and are fighting back with lawsuits, if not physically. This is a physiological problem, not a moral failing. And just because the police arrested her again means nothing. It may be to bolster their own defence. Cops hate it when you get them on film beating someone. I suspect their number one priority is to "catch" Duanna at something, anything! Anything to prove that the cop was "right" for beating her in the first place
even if they have to improvise something.
Why can't these women get jobs and then they wouldn't have to do this? Simple, No one will take a chance and hire them. Why? Because they look weird. So do many other people but they'll hire them. Far too many Transexuals are involved in sex work because they are deemed unemployable.
To return to how to talk.......Try being civil as you would any other person you might meet with a obvious handicap. Don't try to talk down to her or disparage her. You might find her fluency and verbal adroitness is superior to your own. And she's been insulted by experts, you won't have much to offer in the way of original thoughts.
