But Thursday night, the city's parks board refused to ban non-offensive public nudity despite some complaints from the public.

The next month, the company eliminated 100 management jobs as it consolidated circulation, finance and other operations into four regional groups. Newspaper companies including Gannett are seeing ad-revenue declines accelerate as the weak economy puts additional pressure on a market already suffering from a migration of readers to the Internet. Gannett said last week that advertising revenue at its publishing business fell nearly 18 percent during the July-September quarter compared with the same period last year. Despite the sharp reduction in ad revenue and the need to cut costs, analysts consider Gannett stronger than many of its peers. Citi Investment Research analyst Catriona Fallon initiated coverage on three newspaper publishers late Monday but assigned the only "buy" rating to Gannett. Fallon placed a "sell" rating on The New York Times Co. and The McClatchy Co., owner of the Lexington Herald-Leader. Gannett shares have lost more than 75 percent during the past 52 weeks but rose $1.09 yesterday to $10.22.

At the end of the day, it’s just another example of a difficult double standard that so many women still face. If you don’t get the appearance thing right, it’s a story. And if you do get the appearance thing right, it’s still a story.

Note to "Joe the Plumber"_______________________ Don't work so hard, with the new "spread the wealth" attitude, you can just sit back and relax. The government will take from the rich and give to the poor, so why bother trying to be rich. It has worked so well in Cuba it should work here also.
