"Another Roadside Attraction" deals with this question pretty nicely.
But the fact is, concerts have gotten way expensive. I know, I'm old, and I remember seeing all kinds of acts for $15.. Seems like the giant shows that take tons of roadies and semis, where $100 is about right, dragged up the price of bare-bones touring groups. Or something. But seeing music at the Orpheum or Auditorium or Coliseum used to be a weekly thing and now - ?
This was the year the mighty Tigers were going to make their move in the NCAAs. Sure, the team did not gel until we had lost to the top-25 teams. But for the kids to all lose their composure versus the Billikens sends a very sad message: Josh cannot flip that switch, deliver that "turn it on NOW" pep talk. Heaven knows he's heard Lute Olsen and Calipari deliver it, but he can't. Yet, anyway.
Here's the worst part: his recruiting has got to go down the tubes now. "Come play in Memphis!" no longer sounds like a great idea. He can't turn talented kids into a winning team. Will Barton and Adonis Thomas showed the pro world - nothing. Why should they go pro? They are too immature (and skinny.) I'm for giving Josh another year or two, bearing in mind his inexperience, to see him grow. But I'd sure tear up his contract and pay him what a one-and-done coach is really worth.
Unfindable location. the few people in the A&C knew nothing of it.
Nearby: Urban Art Comm and Wilmot Originals are gone from Broad Ave.
The Flyer used to run an incredibly good story every December, The Top 10 Overlooked Stories of xxxx. Hope you'll do it again.
What about riveting things to the box? Puncture, but resealed.
So you get a winner.. will you decorate all the boxes to look that way?
