A point of clarification: If no candidate gets 50% plus one in the first round, the candidate with the fewest votes is eliminated in each round of counting. From the voter's perspective, they only have to choose who they like, in order of how much they like them. If their first choice is eliminated, their second choice will count, and so on until a winner is found.
