and cameras on every street corner? that would reduce robbery, muggings, etc. many drug deals, and certainly most drug use is in the home. wouldnt it make sense to have cameras there also? after all, its just protecting the peasants from themselves.
where does the sneak-and-peak end?
maybe the peasants should require cameras at city hall, might prevent the graft and corruption that is so rampant in memphis from the mayer down to the cops.
good point mike. If Memphis doesnt have its history, why will tourist come to the city? Perhaps to have their car stolen, get mugged, harrassed by panhandlers.
if I want riverside eating without the history, ill go to OKcity where everything is new and its at least safe.
Memphis still has a small part of its history on the surface, up-close and personal-------at least for now.
Just a frequent tourist opinion
bruce, what percentage of the memphis flyer editorial staff is black. oh not quite the 75% black makeup of memphis. you folks at the flyer are racist. how many ways can you clowns play this tired old "racist" game, soon it will no longer be effective. think about that as you drive back to your all white neighborhood
well said. it's worth noting government with all it's "brilliant" ideas and "feasibility" studies, to say nothing of wasted millions in taxpayer money, will never be able to force people to go where they do not want to go. greenbelt(if i understand it correctly) is land that, due to floading, has no other use. the park was an after-thought. a place where the people decided was enjoyable, not where the city planners lured them with expensive, pie-in-the-sky illusions of where Memphians "should" spend their free time. compare this to the other Memphis rec areas that came from central planning.
so why then does Memphis keep pouring money into places no one wants to go? FOLLOW THE HARDWORKING TAXPAYER'S MONEY.
now lets see how fast Memphis can ruin Shelby Farms with central planning and million$ we can't afford.
as the peasants argue, our gov't steals more and more power from " we the people." the repubs have stolen our civil liberty and our right to privacy. the dems have stolen our right to civil liberty and right of self determination. so while you fools argue the two parties are huddled togather in a fancy retreat paid for by the taxpayers loot, deciding their next power grab.
this is a perfect example of how gov't uses its power to intimidate. and you socialist want more? baltimore, detroit, chicago, and memphis-dying, bankrupt cities. all controlled for generations by democrats.
