Re: “[Hired] Guns N' Roses Cancel Local Show

Rumor has it there is an issue about curfew. Axel goes on late. The DCC management was over heard stating he wasn't going to pay the extra hours overtime to the local crew. Again this is purely speculation and hearsay. Now about missing shows, there has only been one other from this tour.

Re: “Craig Brewer Remaking "Footloose"

Hey Chris if you really want the job or a chance to audition have your agent submit you though the Breakdown Services.

I bet you know the casting process but just in case you or someone doesn't here it is, hey it's late and I'm a little bored.

Director and or producer meetings start with A list talent way before the main casting list goes out. Best to get named talent on board to increase backing money.

Casting Director list roles and descriptions of role/s (age, race, lead, hair, eyes...) through Breakdown, Now Casting, LaCasting, or sends it directly to favorite agents/managers.

Next said agents/managers submit their top 5 for each role. CD (casting director) calls in who they want from those or ask for the next 5. Sometimes they request actors they already know. The actors chosen start coming in to read, sometimes they have to read for the assistant first and go on tape. Some talent depending on their resume go straight to director/producer meetings, skipping steps.

Say you read for the assistant and he/she sees something they like, you get a callback and read again adding more executives to to mix. If they in turn see something you come back again to hopefully read for someone higher up the chain...and so on. This can go on for several reads/meetings or just a few.
