Re: “Letters to the Editor

Your University Phoenix ad is racist, you need a balance of color..remember we now will have a new president who will make all things better, maybe even stop, I mean STOP the black on black crime in this city, bring a Walmart Super Center into mid-town and get all our streets paved.

Re: “20 Questions

Concerning the Memphis Zoo in Overton Park. The Forest area that people are trying to "Save in Overton Park has always been a hangout for perverts and Gay Men solicitating Sexual Activity, Something I have witnesssed personally since the 1950's as a young boy trying to cross Overton Park to get to school. And it still goes on today. All Summer long we saw the tree lovers protesting against the Zoo's Plans until Early September When once again the Memphis Police rounded up over a dozens individuals once again displaying there wares, and and looking for Sex, Something I don't want to have my children or grandchildren to witness, and this is a continuing problem. The Public Restroom at Rainbow lake has been shut down for many years as this was a hub of perverted activity. So I say what the Memphis Zoo is doing is a real Service to the Community as well as building one of the Greatest Zoo's in America. Personally I would hope eventually that the Zoo would expand to all wooded areas of Overton Park except the Golf Course. This would also free up the Memphis Police Dept from having to do extensive patrols in that area and make it a really safe place to go.
