Christopher Byers, James Moore, and Steven Branch first went missing on the evening of May 5, 1993. According to John Mark Byers, the boy's stepfather, Christopher had misbehaved at Weaver Elementary School and was sent home. (excerpt from article printed in 2006).
The above referenced excerpt from the Flyer is contradictory and contrary to information that is available for anyone to research. An excellent source to read actual case documents is Callahan.8k.com. Ms. Stark did Byers actually tell you that Christoper was sent home for misbehaving? Or was this taken out of context, maybe he was sent home on other occasions for misbehaving? This is in conflict to statements that were given to the police. It confuses and misleads. I know you personaly interviewed John Mark Byers. I notice that it is not quoted like other portions of the interview. Please clarify. It leads readers to believe that the child was home earlier than was thought on the day he went missing.
