Re: “"Z Day" Notebook

Chris - I read that Portland may be interested in signing Sessions, but their cap and the presence of Bayless makes that difficult.

Would we want Bayless as our backup PG? Portland might take Warrick in trade for him, and we might be comfortable with that since Randolph, Carroll, and Arthur have the position covered.

Your thoughts?

Re: “Summer League Notebook: Game 1

Chris - do you find it's interesting that we're making it possible for the Clips to sign AI by taking Randolph off their hands? Can't we change our minds on that deal, go after Boozer and sign AI? Wouldn't Boozer/AI be a better fit than Zach/AI?

Re: “The Iverson Rumor: Heisley Preparing to Make Mockery of His "Three-Year Plan"?

I'm not sure I don't like the idea of Iverson. But I'd like to see him start instead of Conley, which I don't think the Griz are contemplating.

Why wouldn't Iverson and Mayo be a good pair? I guess they are a little small. But it wouldn't matter who played point, would it? Maybe I'm off here, but at least we'd have someone to score.

Iverson/Conley
Mayo/Young
Gay/Carroll
Randolph/Arthur
Gasol/Thabeet

Re: “Draft Post-Mortem: League-Wide Reaction

Chris - Tillery reports that we could've traded #2 for Beasley and we turned it down. Isn't that a huge mistake?

Re: “The Hour Approacheth

Chris - thanks for the superb coverage and insight. There are a lot of places we Griz fans go to read about our stupid, beloved team, but your site is #1. Keep up the good work.

Or if we just draft and keep Thabeet, it's been nice knowing you.

Re: “The Case Against Thabeet

Chris - not that I think this is what Heisley & Co. are doing, but I'm still hoping this is their strategy:

They may know that Thabeet's value is higher with Minny than Rubio's. So play up Thabeet enough that Minny has to throw #6 and Love in. After all, they want a PG, SG, and C. They don't prefer to have Jefferson and Love play together - they're both PFs really.

If they have #2 and #5 they could possibly get their PG pick of Rubio/Evans/Curry along with Thabeet. One of their other picks could yield a SG.

We would get Love and either Evans or Curry possibly.

Like I said, I don't necessarily believe that's what we're doing, but a guy can dream, can't he?

Re: “Wolves Acquire 5th Pick?

If we could get the #5 and #6 pick for our #2 it would be an absolute steal!

Who would we use those two picks for? Tyreke and Curry? Tyreke/Curry and Hill? Tyreke/Curry and DeRozen?
