Quad Damage! The only reason I was going this year was to get me some Lip service!
Look forward to trying the new Swanky's! Burrito bar sounds awesome!
I have been to El Toro Loco though and I must say it was the most bland food I've ever had at a Mexican themed restaurant. The tacos were especially disappointing. The meat was watery and mushy with the subtle taste of...water. Ick!
Go to El Mezcal for a great taco! Also try Las Delicias and Los Comales for something a little bit different. More authentic perhaps. Less cookie-cutter than El Porton or Los Reyes.

Really?
Um, yeah, Rainy. You said that already.
If you had indeed read the "article" you would have noticed that the person whose thoughts Chris published was identified as a "Beyond The Arc reader", like you. Well, figuratively speaking like you. So, to bash him and complain about his thoughts or him getting some exposure for them is self-defeating, much like your attitude. Everyone else here is discussing the information and what it might or might not mean. You, on the other hand, are attacking and insulting both the contributor and the messenger. The messenger being someone who provides information and opinion for people, again, like you, who want to read about the Grizzlies, whatever that may entail.
If I may, Chris writes a Grizzlies BLOG. An opinion piece. A column. He is not functioning as a journalist in this respect. So drop that misconception right now. It makes you appear pompous, egotistical and uninformed, nay ignorant. If you don't like his opinion or how he operates HIS BLOG, like the rest of us you are free to get over it or go away.
"It does seem noteworthy that he seems comfortable with what is easily the most juvenile, ridiculous, and mind numbing stuff of all the people I follow..." -- I couldn't agree more Sankara. Thabeat has the air about him of a child at an amusement park or a finalist in a beauty pageant. You can be in awe of your success and fortune. But you can't forget you are here to work. To be picked high in any year's draft is an honor and an onus on that player to step up, focus and prove your benefactors right!
Hopefully all it will take is an Oden dunk on his head to wake him up. I wonder, does he get mad?
Re: “Postgame Notebook: Sixers 99, Grizzlies 89 — Don't Call it a Comeback. No, Really.”
We have let rot then dismissed an almost endless list of mostly promising point guards and shooting guards over the years (with practically nothing to show for it) just to protect one player.
Players are venomously dressed down in front of the entire Forum after saving a broken play while others turn the ball over again and again and are never called out on it.
We've never played numbers, only gut, even when the statistics show...oh, wait, never mind.
We lost a critical playoff game in which we had a truly commanding lead because we couldn't manufacture an effective defense (our strength if we ever had one) when we needed it most (see previous).
We have never had screen plays to get shooters open (even now that we finally have some). To me, it's just something other teams do.
I wonder, seriously, at what point do we question whether The Train is on the right tracks and if/when the new engineers will make a switch.

PS...Keep up the good work Chris!
