I understand and agree with your statistical inferences about attendance and TV ratings increases. However, when you win sub 25 games for 3 consecutive seasons, your attendance and ratings will go up with you actually win 40 games. The issue at heart IMHO is that his answers to Vernon's questions cause me to believe he DOESNT GET what it takes to win and the light bulb might never go off.
this is bad. Real Bad.
Those guys are old and are nearing the point that their games will fall off the cliff ala Tim Ducan this year. Rudy will be productive (barring injury) the entire length of the contract, I am not sure about Pierece or Nowitzki 4 years from now. I think that Chris is right calling this effort a gamble on Rudy making "the leap" towards the fringe all-star.
Any news on if Z-Bo is going to be charged in that Indianapolis drug stuff? I would think that should factor into the Gay decision
The Jazz must really have cash concerns to make this trade. Trades like this make me think a lockout is unavoidable
When is the Griz trade column? It is clear they need another NBA caliber player preferably a 2 guard that can score.
This game might serve as the blue print for beating the grizz.
1) Dont let them run. If they have to play halfcourt it makes the PG position a more glaring weakness
2) Attack Grizz PGs as they cant guard. Neither Conley nor Tinsley really competed defensively tonight. Conley simply couldnt stay in front of Brooks or Lowery which lead to a lot of open shots on the 2nd pass for the Rockets.
3) Be physical with the Grizz bigs before the pass. Z-Bo caught a lot of his post entry passes several feet outside the pain. For all the wonderful things Z-Bo is one thing is not is athletic.
All of the teams Chris mentioned that Grizz are competing against can do these 3 things (except the Thunder. They are going to out tough us in the paint) are built to exploit our weaknesses. Chris, any news on the trade front to get tougher/taller off the bench?
