...and if Charlie Sheen shows up as an astronomer, you're watching the wrong bootleg...
The original group of people involved in the Maker movement (hey, it's even in our name!) since the beginning are the MidSouth Makers, and we hold an open house every Friday at 7pm at our Makerspace - 2804 Bartlett Rd #3.
Please correct the title. This is MidSouthCon 34. This is NOT a "comic-con". We are a multi-genre science fiction and fantasy convention and offer so much more than comics - though those are awesome also! Our volunteers work hard to put this on and deserve the correct recognition of their event.
Noted and changed. Thanks! BV
Why do I get the feeling the most important word in this entire article is "FREE", and the replacement event will not be? This is extremely short-sighted and will be an unpopular decision.
...except you have to email her the answer, not post it here :)
The rest of the world views us as racist rednecks - so you're saying we should live up to their expectations, then, right?
Wow, I'm going to have to seriously disagree here. First, you are quite mistaken about the lack of fan-love for Matt Smith. Maybe the first half-season or so, but things ratcheted once the stunner of "A Good Man Goes to War" dropped. It seems to me that there was as much teeth-gnashing and wailing when it was announced Smith was leaving as there was with Tenant.
I actually thought this was a great post-regeneration episode (go watch The Twin Dilemma if you want a look at a not-so-great example). Most post-regen episodes are of this ilk - he's a little/lot confused and it takes time for him to get his footing after regeneration. I think this was handled much better than most. I do agree, however, that this isn't going to be a jolly "want a jelly baby?" Doctor - and it's going to be great!
