Re: “Las Tortugas Deli Mexicana

Deli Mexicana is an unassuming little place just off the wolf river walking trail, across from the Chick-Fil-A on Germantown Pkwy; it's easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. I cannot vouch for their cuisine's authenticity, being a very non-Mexican native Memphian, but I can certainly speak volumes on its flavor! The guacamole here is the best I've ever had, hands-down. I'm a huge fan of their elephant ear tacos (named so from the look of the fat slice of avocado on them). Also, their fried cheese is phenomenal; it's like a giant curled cheez-it! Deli Mexicana also stocks an assortment of beverages such as Dos Equis, bottled fruit drinks, and even Coca Cola with real cane sugar in glass bottles--yum! Of course, there are fountain drinks and water, as well. The prices are steeper than Taco Bell, but my wife and I usually run under $30 for dinner--not bad for the quality, honestly. Here's hoping others give it a shot or chime in if you're already savvy to its charm. It's definitely one of our local Memphis treats that deserves to flourish!

Re: “Driving While Intexticated

Hands-free approaches will probably wind up dominating the market. You'll eventually be able to play incoming messages via your car stereo, earbud, or speakerphone without reading a screen. Coupling that with the ability to respond with voice dictation will make darting eyes a thing of the past.
