In a city full of good restaurants, this is one of a select few great ones.
Absolutely the best sushi in town. Fresh, simple, and beautifully presented. So good in fact, you might be tempted to forgo the regular menu choices. Don't. The fresh selections are always amazing, and the Seafood Risotto easily ranks among the best dishes in Memphis, as do the mussels. Plus, the plates are small and affordable enough (like in the $7-$12 range) to allow you to enjoy some sushi as a separate course.
Like the first reviewer said, this is one restaurant Memphis is lucky to have. Go support Umai and you won't be disappointed. In fact, you'll be blown away.

Nick Lowe. It's a Nick Lowe song.
Props to SOS for their work. Hopefully they can even save the live cat being forced to live on Ernie Alexander's head.
Is this the place where Bari was? Or am I all turned around?
Only Ardent could spend 18 months releasing a 3-song live soundboard recording.
