Consolidation may ultimately be better for our metropolitan area... BUT, I oppose it now because of the buffoons that are in local government, especially the memphis city council. I do not want any of those people leading our government. One thing that irks me is that the City paid big money for an efficiency study a couple of years ago and has yet to implement any of it! Also, remember the golf courses that should have been closed? Well three of them have barely anybody playing there (I dont recall the factual numbers but it was ridiculous... Riverside gets less than 10 rounds per day!). Close those courses! BUT the buffoons in government keep them open because of political reasons. Vote no for consolidation and keep pressuring our government to clean up first and then maybe I'll consider it.

Pete and Sam's??? c'mon that place is garbage! People that like that place live in the bizarro world.
This makes no sense. A few years ago, the UofM was averaging 40000 people per game. When the program is successful the people come. Sure there were only 4k people at the ECU game, because we are currently not a winning program. The fans sent a message, bigtime. Everyone is WAY over dramatizing this whole thing... the U of M will hire a new coach... probably a really good one. Success will come. Negativity is so rampant in this community. There is no balance of optimism. That is really unfortunate. I agree with John Calipari that there are way to many "Miserables" around here... it is almost like people enjoy when the U of M fails.
