The Reef was my favorite restaurant. I will miss it.
There was a David Granoff who was at Rhodes from '76-'80. He was from Honolulu, HI.
I remember this particular Pancho's quite well. We always had to pass it going North on Bellevue toward Chenault's restaurant on Bellevue near Parkway.
Must be the first rendition of inline skates!
Gotta be the right place. I'd like to see a photo from the front looking up - like in the older photo. On a side note, I've got Poland photos of one of the old Southern Motor Co. sites. You'll want to see these to update your Southern Motors info.
Ah, the Warner. That was one of my favorite theaters downtown. As a boy back in the early '60s, I would take a bus downtown once a week in the summer. I'd go to 2 different theaters and watch movies, then catch a bus to go back home. I think the total ever spent for the entire experience was about $2.50. I remember going to see "Parish" at the Warner. "Hercules Unchained" was also a Warner memory. Thanks for the grand slice of the past to muse over!
Boy do I remember Chenault's. I fondly remember the rolls they served with honey. We went for Sunday lunch there frequently. My great aunt, Vivian Long, worked there at the cash register for a long time.
