Re: “Non-Discrimination Support Rally Draws Over 500 People

What more can you expect from Bellevue aka "Six Flags Over Jesus"? After all, they only recently admitted slavery was wrong. Have you noticed they strategically placed their version of the Holy Land as far away from those who need Jesus the most? I really don't think any of those struggling to find "the way" have A way to get that far down the expressway. Modern Golgotha's such as this is why I hope I'm here for the rapture. I can't wait to wave "bye-bye" to their masses as I'm on my way home with Jesus!

Re: “Letters to the Editor

Hey, Jason, keep in mind that Bellevue aka "Six Flags Over Jesus" only officially took a stand that slavery was wrong in recent years. What more can you expect from the "Mega Golgotha" on the expressway? After all, they did strategically place their version of the Holy Land as far away from those who need the services of Jesus most far from their reach. Churches like that, and those who attend them, are the main reason I hope I'm here for the rapture. I can't wait to wave bye-bye to their masses on my way home with Jesus!!

Re: “Letters to the Editor

If Maia Jaribu Ajanaku would use what is known in the African American community as here "Slave name", which would be the name given to her/him at birth, then maybe he/she would have a little more respect from the white community for his/her opinion. Can you tell I have no idea what sex he/she is?
PLEASE, your name itself screams of racism. Get over it. Move on. Be fair.

Re: “Letters to the Editor

I've been approached, at least a half dozen times, by a young lady who claims to have been beaten and robbed while "visiting from Arizona". Tell your husband not to feel bad and don't be too hard on the churches. I find it hard to believe that this same woman, and it has been the SAME one each time, continues to be beaten in Southaven over and over.

I don't know if your experience was with her but this story is as old as the "My car is broken down, the water pump over heated, I need money to replace it, my wife is in the car..." as they stand there holding a busted hose. I've been approached with this one dozens of times.

It's too bad that people like this make it hard on those who do fall on bad times to get a handout when it's needed.
