Re: “The Paradiso's Next Feature

I'm not even an adult. However, how dumb can you parents be? What responsible care-taker doesn't check the information for something that his/her child is supposed to be attending? Be attentive and keep up with your child's activities! I would have called my mother after being denied (had I not already known I'd be denied). Granted, not every teen would do this, obviously. But really? That many teens having to loiter in the parking lot because they had nothing better to do? I'm sorry, but there are other things for teens to do than this. Sure, it's hard because many places only admit 18 or 21 year-old's and up, but do some research! There are almost always concerts going on in various areas, there are improv nights for $10 and plays all the time all across Memphis. There are malls, bookstores (with signings and release parties), and restaurants. Of course there is also simply hanging with your friends! My friends and I never do anything illegal or stupid, and we always have fun when we get together. Movie marathons, picnics at Shelby Farms, whatever! Cut the crap about how it's the theater's responsibility, parents and teens need to plan in advance and communicate. UGH!!
