Re: “Memphis’ Central Park

The problem with the zoo is size, it started out too small. When it was built animals where considered to need an "enclosure". Migrating that to humane size living environments will require lots of space.
The zoo has greatly improved over the last decade. But to get to where it should be for a Metro area of this size it is going to need to expand. Visit other zoos see what St.Louis has done with it elephant exhibit. See what the tiny Montgomery zoo did with the lion plain. see the size of the Gorilla savanna at the Atlanta zoo. Examine how the elephant and giraffe environments are handled at the Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa. Space the final frontier. Visit an awful zoo like the Central Florida Zoo to see what happens to a cramped zoo. Thats is painful to see, and you would not want to see it happen here.

Teton at Memphis should be the benchmark for all other exhibits at the zoo. It will require space. How much expansion room is left? If you move the whole zoo, we may loose the Pandas on loan. China largely paid for the exhibit's construction. Where is there space for world class. The west TN Memphis Mega Site? Is there really full future growth space at the Fairgrounds?

Re: “What is “real” mayonnaise?

Chewin lube with garlic egg and oil is Mayonnaise.

This is Boiled Carrot Borscht, or the bottom of a roasted chicken pan.
Sounds tasty, but its not mayonnaise. Maybe they should call it Miracle Carrot Spread.

Re: “Tennessee Scores Low On New HRC State Equality Index

But Tennessean seems to hate on almost everything slightly different from starching marching fire and brimstone. So dont feel too isolated. There are several types of individuals on the fray the main stream at core creed, having a hard even getting hired, much less treated fairly. The state overall discriminates against long hair creatives and any thing non Xtian too. I think a common thread of lack of cultural literacy and a failure to understand religion and human decency should be allowed to marry.

It comes down to, can we educate Tennesseans to be decent to all types of people, in all aspects of life?

Congratulation Tyteaddis Johnson empathy for others is the beginning of understanding how crime affects everyone. Use this momentum of humanity to rehabilitate yourself, you are capable of doing the right thing. Keep on course with that.

Re: “Wendi Thomas Resigns Her Position at The Commercial Appeal

Odd and foolish choice adding Wendy to the Flyer staff. As I drive in from the outskirts into Memphis, I already get dirty looks when I pick up a copy of the Flyer. Makes me wonder what most folks think of it. Will I now be viewed as supporting any excuse for thuggish behavior when I pick one up? Dirty looks are easy enough ignored, but will I have to duck now?

She's going to need more writing coaching that you have time for Bruce. The public reaction to picking one up is only going to get worse, so what will the advertising base become? Dont expect this to be a plus to that. The deliberate controversy and pro thug positioning of Wendy just last week will cost more readers and thus advertisers, than it could gain.
