Thanks for such a great article. I hope the Sivads of March festival will continue, he needs to be remembered. I first saw Sivad when Fantastic Features came on early in the evening, I was 5, it scared me so bad for a while I would not turn to Channel 13.
Later on I got to see him at a couple of his live appearances. One was at the old Malco Theatre at Poplar Plaza shopping center, and then later on at the Catholic Church in Jonesboro, Ar. It was a hoot, he sang and played the coffinola.
I was able to attend one day of the festival and see the Lil Filmfest. It was great to share memories with others who grew up watching Sivad.
