I for one am glad a state issued ID is required for voting. I can think of nothing better to should ensure the integrity of an election. At least we will know fore sure the person voting is the person on the voter's list.
Most everyone has to have some sort of ID. A birth certificate is not that hard to get. You will not get your social security, retirement, drivers license, passport, marriage license, starting school, etc... without it. Really, a government issued ID is not hard to get.
I wish that every purchase with a debt or credit card requires a photo ID. That would cut down a lot on bogus card purchases.

If the all media (TV, radio & paper) would not show up when Herenton call a news conference, with no money for political advertisements and the only reason for the conference is free news time, Herenton would just fade away.

Why are the other commissioners following Roland around in the first place? Isn't this the second time they followed Roland around? Sounds like they went to the restaurant to have another confrontation with Roland.
