Re: “Ramsey Not Sure What "Muslim" Is

Just a quick question...is this Sarah Palin's extended family? ..Oh...no?? Sorry, I could have sworn....

I'm not voting for any of these deranged half-wits who use "I'll give them the boot," as a catchphrase, or a barber's chair as a place to conduct in depth political conversation with random, toothless wonders.

What winners. Remind me why I'm in Tennessee again?

Oh my God, I forgot to include my favorite lines from every single one these campaigns (George Flynn I believe has the best ones..) We're taking a STAND against those Obama and Pelosi LIBERALS, and taking that LIBERAL AGENDA out of Tennessee. Well, I'm glad to see that the rednecks in camo coveralls, and that guy you paid to act inside the tire shop agree with you. They're not racist AT ALL!

And in reference to CHG... just because you build a mosque in the 'burbs, doesn't mean everyone there is suddenly Islamic, just as when they build a Catholic church down the block, you're not forced to adopt and live a life of catholicism. Our country was founded on RELIGIOUS freedom, not ONE religion's freedom. Oh, and show me a gun owner in the midsouth who doesn't also use their weapon for the murder of animals and recreational use (yes, the gun range is considered Red to me, as well,) and I'll gladly say that they aren't a redneck...unless they have a refrigerator or recliner on the front porch of their trailer and a dog chained up in their fenceless backyard. Dial-up internet, mounted animal parts, porn in the bathroom, and fuzzy toilet covers are also disqualifiers.

I figure if you don't want Ron Ramsey's boot up your ass though, you better do as he says...

..I think I'd rather wait while bending over...

WHEN will TN become a progressive state? Oh, that's right! Probably when Palin and Marceaux win that 2012 election I just bought my cafepress thong underwear for...

Re: “Letter from the Editor

Not quite surprising, if you ask me. Having grown up in Memphis (at my ripe, old age of 25,) I have witnessed the change and am taken aback by this new excitement and camaraderie that is in the midst of revival everytime I am back in the city for a moment's visit. It's still no Nashville, but, hey, every city has it's pits and panhandling junkies. What can you do? At least you have Huey's. We're stuck with a pantry of half-assed pancakes we waited 2+ hours to get.

On a completely random note, for writing do you prefer IWork or Office for Mac?

The man from Paris and I were having coffee and breakfast at an outside table at Miss Cordelia's in Harbor Town. It was a warm, sunny morning, a prelude to another bright, soul-wiltingly humid July day in Memphis. The man from Paris was a business writer for Agence France-Presse ...
