ADaisyADay, you have no idea what you're talking about. Case in point, the money being used to create these bike lanes is provided through a federal grant that Memphis received. If it is not spent on these approved projects it has to be given back. I'd love a better public transportation system like an elevated monorail/train/subway system connecting the city, but this money is for bike lanes only. Not even going to get into your misconceptions about the affects bike lanes will have on Madison. In truth many statistics exist that contradict your opinions and much analysis was done already on how it will impact memphis. The facts show it will be a positive.
why didnt anybody at the meeting today say to Fullilove "This is not your district, the money is federally provided, construction has already started and you have no legal authority or ability to stop things at this stage. On top of that your actions having the potential to get you removed from the council by encroaching on the administrative branches duties which you can not do according to the charter. WHY ARE YOU HERE!?"
that budget is actually pretty low for the amount of functionality and information that the site will have to maintain and work with. But that's what happens when people that know very little about web design and development see a websites budget. This is by far not the most expensive site I've heard of. When it's all said and done this budget is going to turn out to be a little low i'm willing to bet. not really sure why they would contribute tax payer dollars to an open source cms project. That makes no sense. not the time or the place.
id be happy if they could pick up thomas, Hansbrough or lighty. Diebler is very intriguing but they touted Henry as the 3pt killer and he sucked from 3. so the 2/3 would just be more crowded.
I like Thomas a lot. undersized but he's a killer. the Ty Lawson/Kyle Lowry of this draft imo. we'll see tho.
just FYI, Tony Allen coined the phrase "Grindhouse" in reference to the Forum. Apparently thats what he calls it. word got out and now everybody is calling it that haha. love Tony Allen
it was an absolute train wreck. couldn't believe what i was hearing.
spot on analysis. dont see how i'll be able to renew tickets after this season. i would cancel now but i've already paid for them and with the lock out coming i want to see ball while i can.
that said, id rather the grizzlies leave memphis if they continue under Heisleys reign. too unreal for words. absolute depression is setting in.
Re: “Strip Club Regulations to Take Effect in January”
so is this what conservatives mean by small government?
i'm confused.
