Re: “Can Raleigh Spring Back?

There is so much more to the turnaround of Raleigh that was left out of this story such as the fact that Raleigh Springs Mall has turned over its marketing to ABetterMemphis.com and the marketing strategy for the mall is awesome. The fact that, outside of the Macy's, Dillards and Penny's spaces, the mall is almost at capacity. the fact that the Voice of raleigh and Frayser Community Action Network is on the ground making the case for Raleigh and Frayser. the fact that the Block Party for Peace attracts tens of thousands of people to the event each year. with as much as he does for the raleigh and Frayser area, I am quite surprised that Antonio Parkinson was not mentioned in your article. He has been responsible for the majority of new exposure to those areas for the last few years. Memphis Flyer, you only covered what amounts to a small fragment of the real push for Raleigh and Frayser.
