Running is both a solitary pursuit as well as one which invites a spirit of camaraderie and can serve as a catalyst for enduring friendships. A sizable contingent of friends, family, admirers, former coach, and fellow runners witnessed an humble runner on stage for his finale after logging in excess of 80,000 miles during a most memorable tenure. I find that a compelling and inspiring story worthy of circulation.
