Here is a person that is a prime example of wome of the problems with our system. Cooper has been the bag guy for so many polititicians, and because of that, they have to continue to supply him money to run, or he will problably bring out the 8 x 10 photographs he has of them doing wrong. Alas, Joe, you are a convicted felon, we dont want you. Please just go and sit in the coffee shops and spare us the pain of seeing you run and lose again. Look, there is a seat available over there by Prince Mongo, the Fords, Ricky Peete, etc. Pretty soon we are not going to be able to hold meetings because felons are not allowed to associate with each other.
As with everything, there is a time and a place, and for the large picture, unions were ideal back when they started, but their years of being led by the crime syndicates, their use of force to get what they want. Many of the union ideas are still good, but to broadly state that the GOP is against the working people is pure stupidity. The unions put themselves out of business, i.e. RCA in Memphis back in the early 70's. The union literally ran that company out of Memphis with it's demands, and I know because my Father was head of quality control and third in charge of the plant. When the union demands were not met, and at they time, they were blatantly over the edge, the union said we will close this plant, and you know what? They did, which left the stupid unioon workers out of a job. Now how smart is that? When the safety of the air was a concern they still went on strike and Ronald Reagan had to fire them and start with a new bunch, but that only created jobs for those who wanted jobs, none were lost.
Unions cause many, not all, products to be overpriced here in the US , therefore making it difficult for many smaller independent businesses to buy the products. So before you make a direct statement like the GOD is against the working person, do a bit more thinking.
