Best spot to chop for stocking stuffers at Christmas. it's also a terrific place to find props for plays and events. Great place to throw a party on the mezzanine with interesting things for guests to browse and a terrific brand new old fashioned ice ream parlor. We love this place!
This is where the original Memphis Walk (pre-Jookin') dancers hang out. We rented it one night for a Nut ReMix cast party and Lil Buck danced with these fore-bearers of the art form. It was a stunning evening. Kids can't go because smoking is allowed, but you can catch some of the best REAL Memphis music in town here. Thank goodness it is still there.
We perform again tomorrow at 7pm, Kennedy Center. Free discussion with Maestro Wilkins, NSO Creative Director, Nigel Bloom, Dance Program Director, Meg Booth and New Ballet Artistic Director, Katie Smythe, post performance.
There is one more performance Sunday, 5/22 at 2:30pm, Buckman. The buzz from Friday's show is off the charts. Yes, we are all about the continuum and no one from New Ballet completely moves on, they remin a part of the family. Charles will dance at Central Park SummerStage on June 7 and will be the Artist in Residence at the Vail Co. Dance Festival with Damian Woetzel (NY City Ballet) and Mark Morris. He'll be in residence with your young boys this August. The mission to provide a professional standard of training, regardless of the ability to pay is at work and working. Thanks to the Flyer for taking notice! - Katie Smythe
