Saint Andrew AME Church, The Works Inc, and the organizations that make up the South Memphis Revitalization Action Project deserve a great deal of credit for establishing and maintaining a terrific farmers market. The Plough Foundation should also be commended for recognizing a truly good thing when they see it! The market has been a blessing for residents of South Memphis who have waited too long for healthy, affordable and culturally appropriate foods to come to their neighborhood. Hopefully, the success of this market will encourage one of our region's food stores to open a full-service store in this important historic neighborhood.
