It sounds wonderful....except for the euthanasia room and freezer. Would be nice if they could have done away with that alltogether. And "kennels for vicious animals have feeders that rotate on a lazy susan to prevent workers from interacting with them"...hmm...perhaps NO interaction is what has made them crazy? I'm not saying to put yourself at risk, but I sure hope that this way of feeding and watering does not mean that the animal gets absolutely no interaction. If they determine an animal is 'vicious' immediately, wouldn't this cage just constitute another holding area until the animal is put down? I would hope they still get a formal evaluation since, often times, animals can act 'vicious' or mean simply because they are scared out of their wits. Wouldn't you be? Other than those two things, it appears to be a nice new facility and hope that the emphasis is finding placement and homes for animals in need. It doesn't matter how pretty it looks, the dogs and cats that come in are still going to want out...preferrably alive!
