Why is it we are so concerned with the condition that animals are kept in , YET, we turn the other cheek when it comes to conditions in which mentally ill and suicidal patients are kept
My son was a patient at Lakeside Behavioral Health on March 14, 2009. He was under suicide watch. Our family was on top of his condition and took him to Lakeside. Lakeside staff checked him in to the back where 1 (one) man was dedicated to watch 40 patients. Further, they checked him in with his own belt on! There are no closed circuit televisions or other state of the art equipment at this facility. He hung himself within hours of admission and died inside the walls of the hospital that was supposed to treat him. WHY DO WE CARE MORE ABOUT ANIMALS THAN HUMANS? I will never understand this tragedy. This is a matter of public record and can be easily verified.
