Re: “Not My Problem

Well, I'm sure thankful that a forked-tongue, self-enriching, foul-mouthed, career public trough feeder who is still under investigation for her illegal "home server" and her "pay to my foundation for future payback" is not my problem, either.

We have Trump because the Democrat Pro(re)gressives ran the absolute worst candidate ever in their brief history.

It is what it is.

Re: “It’s Memphis’ Water!

Replace the new mega-bucks gas-fired power plant with the proven, reliable and cheaper to operate coal-fired power plant.

Problem solved and big bucks saved.

Re: “Strickland Pondering City Action on Aquifier Dispute

Bring back the cheaper, proven and more efficient coal-fired power plant. Knock the greedy, self-enriching eco-profiteers and their naive followers on their collective arses.

Problem solved.

Re: “Donald Trump: The Manchurian Candidate

Mia asked:

"Nightcrawler, where do you stand on leaving the flag out after dark and in the rain or when it's frayed or worn as decoration by marginally talented musicians?"

Mia, most folks, due to naivete', are just not aware that Old Glory should be lit at night if left out. I don't fault anyone that does, nor would I ever fault any peers for "marginally" donning for decoration.

The last two American flags that I had that were faded and frayed, I gave to my local Girl Scouts of America (GSA) for proper disposal (there is a proper way and the GSA will gladly do it).

Great questions, madam.

Re: “Donald Trump: The Manchurian Candidate

What? McConnell coming forward is "revealing"?

The same mush-mouthed, emasculated SOB whose lone Republican vote in the Senate killed a constitutional amendment banning the destruction of Old Glory (which was overwhelmingly passed in the House)?

Make no mistake about it: when the political dominoes start falling in the District of Criminals 33 days from now, Mitch "Mush Mouth" McConnell will worm and squirm his way around the debris to curry the favor of the new ruling class. I say he'll be on a well-deserved short leash and do whatever he's told to do by the Executive Branch.

As an aside, after reading this editorial, I can add "Feed 'em Fish" along with the 1966 movie, "The Russians are Coming! The Russians are Coming!" to what I think of whenever I hear or read the words, "Russians", "Hack", "Presidential Election", et cetera...from media and talking heads. The last sentenced in this editorial nailed it. Feed 'em Fish!

Re: “TVA Taps It, Cohen on College, & Makers

So, the self-enriching and ideological eco-activists and their grossly misinformed and uninformed followers are all up in arms about the additional volume of water needed to cool the prime movers of a gazillion dollar new gas-fired power plant that they and their bought-and-paid-for unelected bureaucrats deemed to be much better than the tried and true and cheaper to operate coal-fired steam turbine power plant that didn't need any additional cooling water, but was illogically and unabashedly tarred, feathered and ran out of town under the hoax of "climate change"?

With well over 600 coal-fired power plants operating in China -- and a few hundred more scheduled to come on line in the near future -- it's a good thing to know that all of those emissions won't cross the Chinese border, eh?

Re: “UTHSC Awarded Grant to Study Tobacco Use in Military

Those who honorably wear U.S. military uniforms and are sworn to protect us all from enemies, foreign and domestic, should be able to smoke cigars, cigarettes or chew Red Man if they want to.

A good cigar and a glass of sour mash can do a soldier, sailor, airman or Marine wonders.

I say have a drawing and spend the taxpayer's 400k for some lucky military base to have a party that includes, but not limited to, an open bar with conveniently located spittoons and free smokes.
