Again, what would Jesus do ? charge for a homeless person to stay? Hope not. Does the corp sponsorship not pay enough? Seems to me they do - the Mission is building a new facility.
I have stayed there myself and I am thankful there is a place like that to go to, but wouldn't money be better spent on getting people out of their situation instead of just making a revolving door that allows them to receive more money by the amount of people they serve? "Hey, we served 214,000 meals. Can we have more money? because we want to serve 500,00 meals and be like Mcdonalds". Would you like a miniature bible with your not so happy meal? Just saying.
Why don't they just build a shelter for women instead. This seems to be more important than expanding the current shelter. Well I guess the corp big brother wouldn't be able to keep the undesirables in check. As far as the six dollars a night " what would Jesus do"?
