First of all, it has been discovered that the scratch marks on the boys, and the "castration" of one of the boys were caused by animals post mortem, and it floors me that this did not occur to these supposedly seasoned detectives. It was so evidently clear that these 3 teenage boys were innocent, and they railroaded these boys, and there was a complete miscarriage of justice. What is completely ironic to me is these boys professed their innocence all through their trial, and after, and then years later, they take an alford plea, admitting guilt, but maintaining their innocence, and they let them walk free. Say you don't do it, get locked up. Say you did it, walk free. Completely shoddy work from law enforcement, prosecutors, and the judge. Arkansas should be embarrassed and ashamed of how they handled this case. It made their whole police department and judicial system appear very ignorant and unprofessional. I hope they learned a valuable lesson from this.
