LOVE this trade..and a little Iggy optimism never hurt nobody
go go gadget get outta here. if Tayshaun is still around much longer after Marc makes his return i'd be pretty amazed.
there's a lot to be said for the veteran leadership, intangibles, defense, stat-stuff-itude, etc implicit with his participation, but the terrible-horrible-no-good-very-bad mistakes have been piling up.
his up-2 foul on the Bulls' Mike Dunleavy as he tried to beat the halftime buzzer from half-court was one of the single least aware plays i've ever seen and it resulted in a 4 point swing, deflating our guys as they headed into the locker room.
last night at the Suns, in his botched attempt at interrupting P.J. Tucker's breakaway, he hugged the shooter but somehow failed to stop the shot and ended up yielding a 3-pt play. i think this time Joerger saw the writing on the wall though, as ~1:30 later Prince hit the bench for good.
maybe it's just a bad time (read: calendar year) for TP but his performance since arriving has been an absolute roller coaster - the high's have been great but the low's have been both way too low and way too common.
been watching Joe since we were classmates at (now ranked 7th nationally!) WSHS - loved the last play call. agree with jgreen. yes he could've dished but he's been hot in the lane since forever, from either hand.
Bench mob forever
Joerger timeout; same lineup
FedEx Forum cries
saw a tweet from your predecessor that summed last night up well in terms of thoughts on the "Joerger era":
"As for results: A seven-point road loss to San Antonio in October is as shrug-worthy as games get."
no long-term conclusions to be drawn about the team as a whole here, in my opinion - i'm going to chalk it up to growing pains. ZBo on the other hand.....
also, as I write this, Google has filled the ad space below the comment box with an ad promoting the Clippers' upcoming appearance on Fox Sports. deplorable - I should really do something about that.
