There is a statue of General Forrest still remaining in the park, along with his grave site as well as the grave of his wife. Are these sites being fully protected, and is their upkeep well funded? It seems to me that's more important than the actual name of the park, that the deceased be treated with respect ... and perhaps that section of the park can be made more prominent or otherwise re-labeled to accommodate civil war tourists or any who choose to pay their respects. There is always a way to find compromise and to show mutual respect in these situations.
