I applaud Senator Nicely for his stance against this bill. It is ludicrous to imprison a man over chicken when over 2 million chickens die a day hanging on an assembly line. This bill isn't about saving a chicken it is about making people conform to other people's standards. The HSUS is always willing to kill any roosters that are confiscated from their owners. They make no effort to save the roosters and they do not object or hesitate when the order comes down to kill them. We need to stop catering to the extremists and remember this is a free country. Why are we not pushing legislation for stiffer penalties against things like domestic violence, DUI offenders, child abuse and drug dealers? I guess we don't want to offend the city people so we go after the rural people.
I applaud Senator Nicely for his stance against this bill. It is nice to know that he will not give in to the extremists and their efforts to destroy the gamecock. The HSUS does not care about the roosters. They are only interested in making people to conform to their way of living. That is why they do not hesitate to destroy animals that are confiscated. If they carefully about the roosters they would be fighting to save them. Its not like they don't have the money. They could use some of the millions they put into their pension fund every year to care for these birds. This is a free country. It is time we stop giving into the extremist and let people live their lives. Animals are not above humans. According to Wikipedia Tyson foods process over two million chickens a day. Why would we make a felon out of a man over a chicken?
