Re: “Report: Bicycling Amenities Deepen Memphis Inequality

This has to be one of the lamest "studies" ever....I actually lost IQ points after reading it, and some of the comments.

Very few african americans are playing hockey either.....I feel that hockey is causing a greater racial divide in our area as well, we should stop this crazy game clearly meant for white people....not to mention what basketball is doing to the divide, its almost all african american players.... barely any white people. These things are tearing our city apart....NOT!!

Truth be told..... Idiots (both black & white BTW) who choose to try to stand in the way of positive changes with claims of racial inequality are what's wrong with this city. When we (I mean errbody) final choose to not try to make everything a race issue..... maybe racism will dissipate. My children don't classify people as black or white...I'd like to keep it that way, but every time I turn on the tv someone is crying about race this, or that.....gee I wonder why racism continues in this country? Could it be us perpetuating?

People bikes, cycling lanes, parks and other things that promote clean healthy living benefit us all, no matter what race you are. the amenities are there for anyone, they go through all kinds of neighborhoods, taking us to all different parts of town.

As for the goofy comments about tags, license, helmets and so on for bikes. I would gladly buy tags, insurance and license, as most would just so we could tell you where to stick your comments.. I'm already smart enough to always wear my helmet...as well as my "fancypants" What i see behind those types of negative comments are some entitled, jealous fatties, who compensate with large suv's, and comments on the internet. Some of us enjoy living life, in nice communities, and being fit...get over it!

Thank you Memphis for hiring Kyle Wagenshutz. Huge turning point for our city. Keep up the good work. I can only imagine where we will be in 10 years.

Re: “City to Hold Public Meeting About McLean Bike Lane

There are parking permits for special events (dinner & pool parties)
so that is a non issue.
