In this case, yes, "boss" should be possessive. If you change the sentence to read "...and is the daughter of your boss..." it might be more clear. "Bosses" = plural. "Boss's" = possessive. "Bosses'" = plural possessive.
I'm damn impressed with you Mark, and incredibly happy that you survived addiction and are in such a great place now.
