Judge Beasley again makes the point, with which all his colleagues agree, that real experience as a practicing attorney representing clients and trying cases is absolutely necessary to become a proper judge. The lesson is simple. If you don't have the experience, you shouldn't even be running. The courtroom is no place for egos. Keep that in mind especially in the Juvenile Court race. The Republican party has shamelessly endorsed a candidate with NO experience as a practicing attorney who would be nothing if he didn't have the party's coattails. it is absolutely no different than any other organization wanting to hold or acquire power purely on race or party affiliation. This is purely a power play based on both and one that will backfire if successful.
