Daniel Wolff's take on Elvis Presley is a breath of fresh air.

Far too often fine details about the reality of Elvis's early life in Tupelo and Memphis is glossed over by lazy biographers.

Slowly but relentlessly a clearer picture of what it was like for Elvis in those exciting times is emerging.

The importance of Elvis actually walking in a recording studio in Memphis 1953 cannot be underestimated. The song "My Happiness", recorded by Elvis back in 1953 is in the news again in 2009!

The Acetate recording owned by Ed Leek a highschool friend of Elvis is actually for sale.

Daniel Wolff's essay, "Elvis in the dark" is a must read.
