1) As most of the foreign media reported Obama's huge security detal caused everyone else to take detours, change hotle rooms and in general undergo a lot of unexpected inconvenience so Obama could make his plea.

Again, many foreign new sources reported on Obama's arrogance and taking over the place.

That is pure nonsense, the Nobel prize isn't awarded on the basis of totaling the results of an open election.

Pointing out that Wilson, or Arafat and others were undeserving, or that Gandhi was more deserving, diminishes the Nobel committee, and proves that the prize can be no better than those who vote on it.

It doesn't diminish Obama or other recipients like the AFSC, or any good things they may do or have done...

Just because Gandhi was ignored by the Nobel committee doesn't diminish the award and its impact.

That's like saying because you think Bob Dole should have been president and was never elected, the presidency sucks and is irrelevant.

Not sure if Barack, while certainly holding respectable ideals, has done THE MOST or THE BEST work....
But don't knock all of Europe, the committee is 100% Norweigen.

I'm an Obama voter and I'll be happy when I see change for the better, but I'm not a blind fundamentalist who whines about their party being called racist warmongers when they commit racism and war mongering.

I'm the one pointing out that both parties are full of racism and warmongering from the past right up through today.

What have you pointed out, other than defending both those things, and lauding Yassir Arafat's campaign to complete the Holocaust?

And none of your derailment explains why Gandhi was repeatedly denied a Nobel.

Fact is the Nobel 'Peace' Prize has been awarded to some great people and to some real bastards... and a lot of great people have been snubbed in favor of media hype.
All of which means that the award itself has no intricisic capability for good.


Honor come from actions, not from awards... which is something you will clearly never understand.
