To my knowledge, the only place to ever report that OJ was offered for Monta Ellis was a paper local to the Warriors. Not a word has been written about it by Chris Herrington, Ron Tillery, or any of the other guys who have sources inside the Grizzlies organization.

Thabeet and OJ were offered in a package to Golden State for Monta Ellis, which the Warriors turned down.

Can you imagine what the team would look like had we drafted Tyreke? It's depressing just to think about...

Are we sure Grizz tried to trade Thabeet and Mayo for Monta Ellis? I don't know much about Ellis, but Mayo, it seems to me, is the core of the core.

Nice post and I agree with you completly. To answer your question Thabeet was part of what the Grizz offered for Monta Ellis along with OJ.

I don't know if Hollins is making the personnel moves, but demoting Tinsley and Thabeet is absolutely the right thing to do. Tinsley was never able to improve his game and his shooting was really pitiful.
